11 Sushi Rolls For The Price Of 5

in Dining Out, Dinner, Snacks

There are so many healthy eats and snacks on campus. I was pretty thrilled to see some new items Chobani Yogurt and Larabars.

Our dining plan, which is required if you live on campus, is basically food points (or dollars) that you spend like money wherever, whenever. No buffet dining 3 meals a day….GOOD! The food overall is a bit overpriced but it is prepared food afterall.

The lowest plan I can choose is $1225. I usually struggle to finish up my points (ugh I would so much rather spend the money at WFs and TJs) so I usually get whatever I want and never think twice. Today I picked up these snacks!

Heart Thrive is a vegan, non-GMO, wheat and dairy free energy bar, made with no preservatives. Each heart contains 161 calories, 2g of fat, 32g of carbohydrates, 6.3g of protein, 5.7g of dietary fiber. You can see more at HeartThrives.com.

The hearts taste like a compact cookie–very thick and dense yet they have a chewy texture. A good snack for quick energy or a healthy cookie substitution.

The ingredient list is not too shabby–oats, unsulfured apricots, brown rice syrup, brown rice flour, soy protein concentrate, soy flour, inulin (chicory root extract), rice bran, natural fruit juice, dried plums, dried apples, dried pears, orange peel, calcium citrate, almond extract.

I also picked up a Pecan Pie Larabar with 3 ingredients: dates, pecans, and almonds. You can never go wrong with Larabars.

….can you believe I’m getting these with my food points!?

~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight, I went out to dinner with my friend, Szeman, and her parents, who are helping her move-in. She wanted to eat at Sushi Love. I know, sushi AGAIN!? My stomach is going to go into bacteria-shock :)
Good luck buying books, hope your wallet doesn’t take too much of a hit!
I WISH my school carried Chobanis. I have to go without during the day ’cause I have nowhere to stick mine in the fridge!
Holy sushi!!! That looks amazing. And you know you can’t take it home, so you just had to demolish it.
That’s great that you have some healthy options at school. I’m sure it makes it so much easier for you.
Take care hun.
