I had a lovely brunch with the FAM this morning that started with this guy (Mr. Papaya):

Sliced in half:

I created Fab Fruit Plate:

I also had a Butternut Squash Pecan Muffin slathered in almond butter and pumpkin butter….keep scrolling :)

Look at the perty pecans and dried cranberries!

Popped in the microwave for about 20 seconds to get it nice and waaaarm:

Slathered in almond butter and pumpkin butter, as promised:

Put back together for some muffin heaven!!

I read a chapter in my Accounting book (blah) and then went to play tennis with my DADDY-O for about an hour and a half. I cannot stop raving about the weather here–perfectly cool, breezy, sunny, and crisp.

IMG_7233.JPG

Then I came home and had to run some errands for my brother (In LONDON). I decided to RUN there :)

Me: I’m running to the store

My Uncle: Running? Don’t you have a car?

Me: Yeah, but I don’t want to drive—I want to run!!

My Uncle: Ummm okay…[proceeds to look at me like I'm psycho]

By the time I got there, I wasn’t ready to stop! So I kept running and running right past the store. It felt great!! I didn’t do the Galloway method today–I just ran straight through for about 2 miles and then retraced my steps to the store.

After I got back I STILL had energy left so I went downstairs to lift some weights. At this point, my uncle thought I was on crack!!!   I did all sorts of free weights, machines, and ab work for a full-body workout. Woop woop! .

Tonight we ate dinner as a FAM:

IMG_7251.JPG

Tofu, tomatoes and ground beef. I didn’t eat this one (besides 2 cubes of tofu) because of the meat!

IMG_7252.JPG

Shrimp, asparagus, and this random GIGANTIC mushroom (see next photo):

IMG_7253.JPG

I have no idea what kind of mushroom this is but it was very chewy and had a similar texture to gummies but tasted like seafood…It was tasty, I swear!

IMG_7267.JPG

We also had some sauteed snow pea tips. Looks like spinach, huh?

IMG_7255.JPG

I ate dinner atop a bed of lettuce w/ avocado slices. This photo was taken before dinner. I probably had twice as many toppings than shown!!

IMG_7257.JPG

IMG_7258.JPG

Now I’m snacking on a guava and some honeydew for dessert as I blog!

IMG_7261.JPG

Gots to do more work for accounting. I’ve done NO work the past 2 days and I really have to get something done this weekend or I will be s-c-r-e-w-e-d!

Quirky Q’s

1) Do you ever run/walk/bike to the store instead of drive? YEP!! Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Target, CVS, the bank…all within 1 mile of my parent’s condo!

2) What kind of food do you typically enjoy together as a fam? Lots of delicious veggies, seafood (!!), and tofu. I LOVE my Daddy-o’s cooking!!

3) What exciting/fun things are you looking forward to this week? Two more days off (hooray for Fall Break) and then back to schoolio :( WAHHHHH!!!

that muffin looks amazing girl. I always get weird looks when I run/walk around town. I’ve had friends stop and try to give me rides because they thought my car was broken!

Haha, you are so cute running right past the store! Hey, when you got it, you have to go with it, right?!

I am so glad you are enjoying this break at home. It looks like everyone is having a splendid time with you too! :)

Enjoy the next few days off.

Oh my god, that is muffin-GASMIC!! Wow, so yummy looking.

Come I come stay at your parents house because that all looks so good! :)

I’m really looking forward to a taper week this week due to my 10K coming up next Monday. And I’m also going to see my family over the weekend so that will be super fun. That’s technically not the week so I’ll have to create something fun that will happen then!

So glad you had a great run! I do walk to the grocery store, Walgreens, library, the place where our water bill is mailed (save a stamp!), and occasionally my hubby and I walk to get food or ice cream! :) Looks like you are enjoying lots of yummy eats with the fam!

hahah i bought a running pack from rei just to hold my stuff! i run to tj’s all the time. i used to run while my mom was in her exercise class, so i’d say, where are we going after this? and i’d run there. so that’d be costco, von’s ralphs, traderjoes, korean market …. to name a few. i once ran to the post office to drop a letter for her. and ran to a bakery to pick up her danishes!

I ride my bike to school (~1 mile each way) & to the bank and stuff – never to the store though, which is weird!

Waaaay too much deliciousness in one post!!!

Oh, my goodness, the muffin slathered in Almond butter and Pumpkin butter… YUM!

1) I wish I could walk or bike to a store where I live, unfortunately it would be an all day thing, LoL.
2) My family really enjoys baking together.
3) I am currently in Chicago for a short trip, so this is my highlight of the week!

Enjoy the rest of your fall break, girlie!

1) Haha, your uncle is too funny! I wish we had stores within a two mile range! I live in a very small town, and you can’t get anywhere without driving (I don’t like driving all that much).

2) The snow pea tips look delish! I’ve tried this veggie this before and loved it. We honestly have all kinds of things together (we usually eat dinner together), but it’s usually Korean food. Sometimes pasta, stew, enchiladas, SUSHI!

3) Hmmm…lots of schoolwork to be done =P Not much else, sadly!
