Moving on…

Yesterday, I did a little bit of work, a medium bit of grocery shopping and a lotta bit of Gossip Girl watching (gah too much). I feel like I’ve been living a totally different life having watched so many hours of GG the last 2 days. As if I’m a NYC Upper East Side-fashionista-high-schooler with a life full of drama rama!

…then I look down at my school work and around my apartment and realize that is totally FALSE. That couldn’t be ANY further from the truth haha.

I’ll be in full work force today and tomorrow though in preparation for my exam on Friday. Sigh!

Saturday morning b-fast:

IMG_7527.JPG

Kefir, strawberries, pineapples, Kashi Puffs, pecans

IMG_7533.JPG

Then I dipped the rest of the strawberries (~6) in Raw Vegan Chcolate Coconut Spread. Who needs Godiva?!

IMG_7539.JPG

I also cracked into this guy that I got on campus!

IMG_7536.JPG

Sweetened with stevia!

IMG_7537.JPG

I also had half of this guy that I got on campus as well. I’ve also seen them at Costco.

IMG_7541.JPG

IMG_7545.JPG

It tasted like a healthy (less sticky) version of a rice krispy treat. The 1/2 bar kept me quite ‘full.’ Maybe it was just in my head…gotta love marketing!

On the way to my usual spots (TJs + WFs) I stumbled upon A Southern Season so I went in for a peak…it was a foodie’s dream!

IMG_7547.JPG

It was a tad bit expensive so I just browsed! Cha-cha-cha-chocolate!

IMG_7548.JPG

Then I went to Trader Joe’s for a stock up! My fridge and pantry have been running on empty!

Dairy loot:

IMG_7552.JPG

I’m going to try my hardest to make this stash last awhile (whatever that means) because I need to be spending less $$ on groceries when I have so many food points to use on campus!

IMG_7554.JPG

I also went to Costco and LOOK WHAT I FINALY FOUND!!!!! Geez Louise! After searching high and low for this I finally spotted it….Maranatha Almond Butter! Hooray for Durham Costco!

IMG_7546.JPG

The rest of the Costco loot:

IMG_7556.JPG

The 2 pound bag of pecans will and 24 oz. jar of almond butter will save me lots of moolah!

I had random samples, as always, when I go food shopping. For dinner I made a sandwich using….

TJ’s Sprouted Rye Bread:

IMG_7562.JPG

Cranberry Apple Butter (I totally wanted to get a cranberry sauce and then spotted THIS, how perfect!):

IMG_7567.JPG

Mini brie!  It’s perfect for me because I LOVE brie but I can never finish a whole wedge of it before it goes bad!

IMG_7569.JPG

Plus a Dr. Praeger’s Veggie Burger:

IMG_7572.JPG

Grilled panini-style!

IMG_7577.JPG

With a side of these mini peppers from Costco—I can pop these lightning fast!

I did lots o’ baking (and Gossip Girl watching) which I will show you later!!! Off to go run!!

Can’t we all pretend for just a little while that were glammy glam upper east siders. I definitely do when i am watching GG =) Holy chocolate!! I would go so overboard on chocolate in that store. Maranatha almond butter is so much cheaper at costco! Love the cranberry apple spread to – instant thanksgiving addition to any meal!

Girl, every time I see your TJ’s and WF’s trips, I’m convinced we may have the exact same taste buds.

Your dinner looks/ sounds wayyyyyy better than mine (which was just spinach bread from a farmers market and fiber one. helloooooooooo carbs!)

How is the CranApple butter? It was a toss up between that and pumpkin and I went with pumpkin, but I still really want it…

Is driving two hours to go to TJs going overboard, or do ya think I’m ok? :D

We buy a lot of the same food from TJ’s – it really is the greatest grocery store. I want to find those Full Bars. You say Costco has them? Happy Eating!

yeah that bar totally reminded me of a cocoa rice crispie treat! WOW look at all that kitchen garb. love it. cranberry apple butter sounds incredible. i love both fruits so much!

i am reading your 3 new posts in reader so i will just do one long comment here. the ginger clif bar looks good, i think it is so weird how ginger cookies and breads taste sweet but actual ginger tastes.. well, nothing like the baked goods. those vegan cookies look like something i need to make for the vegans! stat! i wanted to be a vet or a teacher when i grew up. fave yogurt is oikos plain!

ohh onto the BSI! yummmy, i am drooling. what a great prize!! congrats to the winner! obv anything carrot cake related wins ;)

<3 you!
