Thursday night we had a blogger meet up at Six Plates, a local wine bar complete with comfy couches and mood lighting (great for socializing, not so great for food photography!). So, I’ve resorted to using some of the photos from their website. It’s the only way to do the beautiful wine bar justice!

What a cute little place.

We had the back corner of the bar, a Blogger VIP section if you will

I apologize in advance for the flash.

Sarah was so generous and got some ‘plates’ and wine for us to start. Thanks, Sarah!!
Cheese plate:

Flatbread of the Evening:

Olives:

I had about 2 glasses of Teira Sauvignon Blanc:

I ordered the Mediterranean Salad with Poppadum and Rice Vinaigrette–tart and tangy!

And enjoyed several of these frites!

Group shot!

From left to right: Caroline, Jessica, Sarah, Meg, April, Margaret, and Me.
We were chattin’ up a storm! Of course it helped that we knew what was going on in each other’s lives already–no need for awkward introductions or icebreaker games
We’re already dreaming up future get togethers. Durham has so many hidden treasures that need to be explored!
And THIS is why I blog.
I’ve met so many great women that I consider my real friends because they ARE! I blog because I love meeting people. Plain and simple. Everyone of you all bring so much joy to my life.
I sent each gal off with a little snowman bag…

A seasonal Clif Bar, 2 tea bags, and the cookies I baked last night. I simply can’t resist an opportunity to bake!

I wish I could travel from city to city to meet bloggers from all around
Wouldn’t that be cool?!

oh and those olives.. i would have been all over those.
I would love to meet other blogers. Will you come to Croatia?
I hate the fact that I won’t probably meet anyone of you
Ahh everything looks sooo good and it looks like you had so much fun!! Please come to Baltimore?
I like your idea of traveling around the country to meet bloggers. Maybe that’s what we should do after graduation? Who needs a job, anyway?
It’s so fun to meet other bloggers, especially when you feel like you “know” them! I’m terrible at the awkward random meeting, so it’s great for me to know people beforehand. I wish I had known more bloggers at the Healthy Living Summit!
We’ll meet for FOREVER when we open our bakery! We can have a blogging corner…I like it.
I totally forgot to mention how awesome that food looks…especially the flatbread!!
That would be really cool. Maybe we’ll meet someday : )
Love the goodie bags, btw.
aww you’re so sweet, sending people off with gifts
Glad you had a good time
Sounds like you all had a fantastic time! I am glad to hear it. Also, feel free to bake and ship to Japan anything your heart desires.
Wow! I’ve said this before on your blog, but really: wish I was there!

looks you you all had too much fun! Tasty treats and lovely friends! Cute goodie bags missy.
such a fun meetup! and I’m with you on the love of blogging and meeting new people, especially 99% of the time you can meet someone you like!
you’re so sweet to bring souvenirs to them!
Yes, come and meet me!! ; ) I seem to live where no other bloggers do. It’s kind of a sad thing! ha.
Allie!!! What a fantastic night!!! I love the atmosphere of this place and all the food looks incredible. AND, the best part…how cool that you got to spend the night surrounded by lovely girls!
Okay, I have the BEST idea. When you mentioned on my last post that you would be home over break in MD. Well, first of all, MD is NOT very far from me and totally worth the drive. How about we try to plan another one of these nights in the MD area when you are home over break???? OMG, this would be soooo fantastic! We can talk more about it, but I am totally thinking this could work. What do you think?
AWw.. how fun!! Im so glad you guys go to meet up. While you were enjoying each others company I was stuck in a board meeting at my school. lol BLAH.
GREAT little goodie bags, btw!
Looks like so much fun! I still think you need to come visit your sister in the UK and we can get together
Great meet up! And I love that flavor of cliff bar, so yummy and seasonal!
Those bags are great. How nice!
Sounds like a great meet-up! I have not had many chances to meet bloggers in my area (which is the middle of nowhere). I end up traveling to NYC and Washington DC quite a bit… but it’s always a blast to meet in real life. It’s funny how there’s never any awkward conversation at the start – everyone already “knows” each other and the conversation always seems to flow from there!
It looks like a great time was had by all! Meetups are so fun
That looks like such a great meet up! I love the decor.
That is so cool that you got to have a blogger meet up! I want one!!
Looks like a great time with wonderful food!
Sounds like a wonderful time was had! Love the treat bags you made up, too!
6 Plates looks amazing! I love how the sauce for the frites was served in a soup spoon. Everything looked delish! And your goodie bags are the cutest – love the snowman. You look beautiful BTW. I love that top! Have a splendid weekend!
What a great time! LOVE your little goody bag, too!
Mmm love the cheese plate. When I’m in a restaurant I always choose the cheese board over a dessert.
that restaurant looks really good… and i think that is adorable!! it is great that you have gotten so much out of blogging. i tmakes sense that you would meet great friends through it because other people who blog about similiar things will ahve common interests
have a great weekend

Oh I wish I had the money, I’d do a blogger travel meet up too! You’re so right – we do already know each other! I couldn’t quite put my finger on it when we had the Chicago one, I just kept saying it felt like I’d known them for years. But it’s b/c we already know what’s going on!
hehe
What a cute restaurant! All you bloggers look beautiful, and I’m glad you had fun! Whenever I read about blogger meet-ups, it’s like you all go on a magical food adventure, haha.
