P is for…Pumpkin Pie Pomegranate Pecan Parfait:

IMG_9357.JPG

Try saying THAT 5 times fast! I layered Trader Joe’s European Style Yogurt w/ Stonyfield Pumpkin Pie Yogurt and topped it with pomegranate seeds and chopped pecans.

Does anyone else eat pomegranate seeds like cereal?!

P is for Planning:

After menu Planning for Thanksgiving (so exciting!!!), we went grocery shopping as 3 generations: Grandma, Momma, and Me. Oh yes, it was Pretty cute.

P is for Petite Samples

Petite samples at Costco that went into my belly! We didn’t buy much besides a 2 lb. bag of pecans and 3 lb. bag of walnuts. WAHOO!! Can you blame me? I grew up not eating nuts for 20 years of my life!

P is for Premiere:

After we came back I found out that Gossip Girl tonight is a repeat–the season 3 premiere!! JUST the episode I need to watch. How Perfect! So I decided to keep ‘dinner’ on the light side so I could workout and watch simultaneously! Plus, all the samples held me over well.

P is for PITCH with a capital B.

I whipped out our Jack Lalanne juicer and made some cucumber+spinach juice. My dad bought this juicer years ago and now I understand why we never use it. Clean up is a Pitch with a capital B.

P is for Papaya:

I also cut open this massive yet non-flavorful Papaya :( Oh well, the nutrients are still in there right?

IMG_9367.JPG

P is for uhh Phabulous Cookies:

I then baked another batch of cookies for my family….and ME. I may have had a couple. So much for keeping it light pre-workout.

This parfait looks yummy. I’ll try with another yogurt :) No almond butter on top? I tried to drizzle mine but it’s too thick. It’s Maranatha, no stir.

You’re funny with all your words that Pegins with P LOL

Whoa, I’m going to try eating pomegranate seeds like cereal one day, haha. And what?! No nuts for 20 years?! That’s crazy… nuts were my favorite snack when I was little. My mom and I munched on sunflower seeds (peel the shell first!) and pistachios like mad. :)

The parfait looks beautiful! I love the taste of pomegranate, but the seeds always seem to hard for me to chew. That center part seems like too much of a pit, and I get them stuck in my teeth or feel like I should spit them out. I guess I’m just a wimpy chewer.

What a gorgeous parfait, it’s almost too pretty to eat! I hate when I get a bland papaya, but I always tell myself it’s healthy and I should eat it anyway. I usually throw it in a smoothie when that happens. :)
