True Story

in Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks

Our relationship is off to a great [re]start!! I mentioned in my post on Saturday that I abused oatmeal back in the day and we’ve been on a break ever since.

IMG_9605.JPG

Well, today we got together with a zucchini pumpkin acorn muffin, coconut, and walnuts. It was pretty romantic if you ask me!

IMG_9609.JPG

One day, oatmeal and I will be totally in love again. I wonder how Mr. Eggplant feels about this…

IMG_6710.JPG

True Story: I have relationships with food and not humans. This is totally healthy….no pun intended :)

I woke up, blogged a bit, ate breakfast and then packed a late lunch for the road. A whole wheat wrap w/ avocado, lettuce, and mushrooms.

IMG_9615.JPG

I had to use the foil to keep it wrapped up!

IMG_9617.JPG

True Story: I chugged this VENTI decaf pumpkin pie spice coffee in about 15 min. and proceeded to hold it in for the next 4 1/2 hours on the road!!!   Impressive, wouldn’t you agree?

It rained the entire length of my drive!! It made for a freezing cold trip because turning on the heat would make my dashboard fog up. Hence the coffee. I guess it didn’t help that I drank it so fast! I couldn’t help it.

True Story: Pumpkin pie syrup is laced with crack.

IMG_9618.JPG

True Story: The traffic and weather gods were not playing around today! **Note I was stopped while snapping this photo!

IMG_9620.JPG

I got hungry (probably from shivering so much) and dug into this Spiced Pumpkin Pie Clif Bar. All I had leftover was the wrapper to show ya.

IMG_9622.JPG

True Story: I did such a great job finishing off the food in my pantry and fridge before leaving for Thanksgiving Break that I now have ZILCH, NADA, NOTHIN’ to eat in my apartment.

True Story: I ate 3 saltines and a couple pecans for dinner. Not the most balanced meal of my life but I had the Clif Bar at around 5pm and it has held me over pretty well.

I might eat a bowl of oatmeal if I get hungry. I guess oatmeal doesn’t have too much competition tonight!

True Story: My roommate has swine flu.

Oh my goodness… be careful, don’t get sick, especially before exams. Yes, Starbuck’s PP syrup is laced with crack. I worked there for a while. While they are to one of my favorites, the ingredients in that “simple” syrup are a paragraph and a half long!

I thought pumpkin pie spice was my one and only…until I had a peppermint white mocha!!

It is their own label…I can’t remember all the ingredients. It’s been almost two years since I worked there. Everything is ok in moderation. Besides, they are seasonal.

Ah wash your hands a ton! Take multivitamins if you don’t already! Wear a mask! Quarantine her to her room! JK JK. Except for the first two-I think those two things help a ton to ward of sickness. Thanks for passing along your favorite dressings. I want to try them all!

Gasp! I’m glad you got home safely and made the most of what you had left to eat in your fridge/cupboards. I hope you stay well and that your roomie gets better. Keep washing those hands :)

you’re too cute, haha I have relationships w/ inanimate objects too!

Try cracking your window so the windshield doesn’t fog, or blast the defrost to hot so it eventually hits you — that’s what I have to do!

wash your hands ton and load up on the vitamin c! Stay healthy!!

Truly you have to be 1000 x’s more content with the love of oats back into your life, right? Oh how could one go so long without them? lol.

Glad you made it home safely and be careful of the flu! Agh, nasty little contagious thing. Stay clear darling.

I’m sorry you had a rainy 4 1/2 hour drive. Your day sounds a lot like mine in that I had NO food whatsoever when I returned to my apt. at school. TJ’s to the rescue! That’s very impressive about the latte =)

So i’m VERY impressed with your ability to drive for so long, without any bathroom breaks!! My mom and I always hit Starbucks up when taking road trips…but within 40 minutes we’re already stopped somewhere, taking a bathroom break hahahahah…embarassing, i know.

Have fun GROCERY SHOPPING!! I’m assuming that’s on your agenda since your kitch is so empty :-D

I always say “true story” after I tell a really terrible and/or great story to someone. This made me laugh :)

Yay for oatmeal being back in your life!! It is too great to abuse. Oatmeal and I are engaged I think.

Mmmmm, those coconut shavings look YUMMY. Mr. Eggplant need not worry–it’s all about balance, yeah? ;)

That 4.5 hour hold-in is quite impressive. I could never do that—even if I don’t drink anything, I still go! >< TMI, TMI.
