in Breakfast, Trips

I made it back to the Dirty Dizzle (skool) safely! I wish I had my heart rate monitor on when I arrived and got out of my car at 12:30 AM because my heart was pumping like there was no tomorrow (literally). I felt like I needed a pistol, which is always a good feeling. I’m usually not scared at all about these kinds of things but the robbery in the same exact area the night before sort of freaked me out.

I had to park WAY far away but I still managed to carry ALL of my crapola except one massive duffel bag of clothes that is still sitting in the car. Now, these weren’t just any bags….they were filled with dishes and food. Important (and heavy) stuff!

3 trips. Now this is how strength training is put to good use :)

***

Let’s back track.

I got my hairzz cut.

IMG_1498.JPG IMG_1492.JPG

I can finally run my fingers through my hair without hitting an icky tangle at the bottom. Don’t you love freshly cut ends? No more splitz…for now! It will never look like this again. Gotta ride out the salon blow dry as long as possible :) .

***

Before I left town, I grabbed a venti decaf coffee from Starbucks. More for the warmth than the buzz.

IMG_1486.JPG

Right as I was putting milk into my coffee, a little 4 year old girl started talking to me. I KID YOU NOT, we talked for the next 15 minutes. Her pick up line was ‘Did you just wash your hair or something?’ (what a smart girl!) We talked about our matching fleece jackets, the color of MY husband’s room (??)…ummm no husband girly, sorry!

She even weasled her way out of my first attempt at ‘okay gotta go now!’

***

I got a fair amount of unpacking done after I got back despite being exhausted! I found this hat that I bought in London last year!

IMG_1541.JPG

The inside is microfleece! I’ll need it since it’s brrrr cold here!

IMG_1545.JPG

***

This morning, I woke up in my skool bed freeeeezing. My roomies had the A/C on and set at 60 degrees. Ohhhh boy. Hooray for my space heater.

I made breakfast in my sunflower bowl to brighten up the day!

IMG_1553.JPG

1/3 cup of oatbran, 1 microwaved pear, Pumpkin Coconut Pecan Granola, cinnamon.

Back to the cement. You know I’m at skool when I have a cement place setting :)

IMG_1551.JPG

And some half caf coffee in my sunflower mug!

IMG_1557.JPG

It’s going to be a hectic rest of the day. I’ve got 2 classes from 2:50-6:55pm. Then watching the Duke basketball game vs. BC from 7-9. I may or may not go to the gym during the game because I have a Recruitment Counselor meeting afterwards from 9-??. I’m not sure if I want to be soaking in sweat for that :) And I’m riding out my silky smooth hair!

Okay gotta go get 1 more bag from the car and get ready for my first classssss! I’m kind of excited (that’s the coffee talking).

Convos with little kiddles are the best! A compliment from a little one is the best because you know it’s 100% honest. I buy their sh!t way more than any dude telling me I “look nice”, teehee.
And I love you hat – I need one just like it to warm my cabezza!
