Whatever I Can Get

The food theme for this holiday weekend has been much like the Facebook relationship status, ‘whatever I can get.’ Notice I said ‘THE’ FB relationship status and not ‘MY’ FB relationship status :) .

I’ve had many undocumented eats simply because I have barely had time to plate my food, let alone EAT it!

Here are some highlights. Some new and some old:

2% Chobani Greek Yogurt. Oh so creamy. Oh so thick. I clipped a $1 off coupon in the Sunday paper a few weeks ago just for this baby.

Nuked apple slices.

Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel English Muffin w/ almond butter.

I had to…

For the record, it was amazing combined :)

During my long recruitment days, I’ve been snacking on this beauty! The granola bar along with soups, pastas, crackers, baked goods, etc. are sold on-campus (delivered from a local gluten/shellfish/peanut free kitchen).

It was so wholesome!! Chock full of sunflower seeds, pecans and dried fruit. I’m sort of obsessed and can’t wait to get my hands on another one.

IMG_1665.JPG

Did you see ‘coconut oil’ in the ingredients list!?? This bar keeps me full for 3+ hours. Impressive!

IMG_1662.JPG

Other snacks included apple slices, carrots, and chocolate covered animal crackers!!

***

I’ve been able to squeeze in workouts before or after recruitment duties. It’s been mostly the elliptical and incline walking on the treadmill. Today I ran 1 mile to the gym, ellipticalled for 35 min. and did some strength training and ab work.

I also bought some $UPER EXPEN$IVE books for my psychology research methods course which I was NOT pleased about. I’m going to try and find them cheaper somewhere or just try and go without them. The ‘used’ books look brand new so I’m wondering if students even read out of them for the class.

***

I’ve been eating some fried eggs lately too. Quick and easy. Post workout (~2pm!!!), I had a sunny side up egg, Ezekiel English Muffin w/ ab and bananas slices. I haven’t had whole fried eggs in so long!

IMG_1676.JPG

With a side of mom, pop, son, and daughter strawberries (see it??) and more banana slices.

Now this has been the ultimate snack for this past week. I received these as a giveaway prize on Coco’s blog. I can’t stop munching on them! They have served as pre-workout snacks, supplements for meals, and midnight snacks.

IMG_1681.JPG

I LOVED the Pumpkin Seed Cheddar flavor. The combination of cheese and pumpkin seeds on a cracker was perfect. Too bad I can’t show you what they look like because I ATE THEM ALL!!!

Here’s a shot of the Klassic 3 Seed:

IMG_1687.JPG

They have impressive ingredients lists. I’ve wanted to try these for awhile since spotting them on shelves everywhere but have never gotten a chance to try them until now.

I finished all of these guys too!!!

IMG_1683.JPG

Alrighty, I’m off to do some much grocery + vitamin shopping at Costco, TJ’s, WF’s, and who knows where else. Then it’s READING until my eyes fall out!!

I’ve never seen that FB status?

Love the strawberry fam – the mom and pop ones are HUUUGE!

Try getting your books online. I’ve sold a ton through Amazon – they have a whole textbook section and textbooks.com too!

I love what you notice about your food: mom, pop, and kids-too cute! Mmm eggs sunny side up are rare in my breakfast line up, but they are so good-especially with hot sauce and whole wheat toast dipped in! :) Have you gotten your syllabus for that psych class yet? See if you have to do any readings or assignments out of the book for homework, and if not, maybe you won’t need the book!
