BULUBULUBULUBULUBLAHHHH!!! <— My mind

HOT: I’m completely on edge right now. My mind is racing at a hundred miles an hour and I can’t calm down. I came home back to my apartment after a long night to find that we had no running water. I was sweaty and all I wanted to do was shower so I could start chipping away at my massive to-do list. Freeeak out!

***

COLD: I was sweaty because I had a great unexpected run tonight before teaching. I had no plans to run, however, when I saw the forecast for wintry mix/snow this weekend, I knew I had to take advantage of the relatively warm (but still cold) weather.

Despite having to tip toe through the slushy snow and jump over the wet puddles, it was absolutely amazing. I ran 3.2 miles and wanted so so so so BADLY to continue. I had to peel myself away to go teach though. In retrospect, it was probably a good thing because I need to be careful with my shins!!!

I love when life surprises me with a fabulous run out of nowhere. Thank you, Life.

Alright let’s get to the food, shall we?

Brunch:

COLD: A beat UP pear

IMG_2457.JPG

It got killed in my bag while walking around campus. Don’t judge a PEAR by it’s cover….it was the most delicious pear I’ve had (other than Harry & David Pears). It actually tasted similar to H & D pears in that it was as soft as butter!!!! It was also super sweet and made my morning.

Yes, the ugliest pear in the world made my morning. It’s the little things in life…

.

HOT: Banini!! (Almond butter + banana panini)

COLD: Green Tea Monster.

IMG_2474.JPG

HOT: Coffee in my HAWT mug!!

IMG_2461.JPG

HOT sun with COLD snow.

IMG_2476.JPG

I woke up and thought it was raining because there was water gushing everywhere. All the snow on the roof was melting and dripping flowing down! See?

IMG_2480.JPG

It sounded like a water fountain outside :)

Early afternoon snack:

COLD orange slices and HOT kabocha slices

IMG_2483.JPG

With their respective dippers…

IMG_2488.JPG

After my fabulous run that was freezing COLD turned sweaty HOT, I had a Dulce de Leche Luna Bar.

IMG_2489.JPG

This used to be my favorite flavor (along with Cookie ‘n’ Cream) until Chocolate Peppermint Stick came in and beat ‘em all out.

IMG_2490.JPG

IMG_2491.JPG

I also had a TJ’s Passion Fruit dried fruit bar…

IMG_2504.JPG

COLD: I scarfed down this salad while trying to figure out whether or not a HOTshower was going to happen.

IMG_2495.JPG

Avocado and sunflower seeds:

Tofu cubes:

IMG_2500.JPG

Ironically, I wanted HOT oats for dinner. I guess I’ll have to wait for breakfast!

After my long awaited shower, I ate some goodies from the package I received from Lauren (Thank You!!!!).

IMG_2493.JPG

  • Kashi Granola Bar
  • Chocolate
  • Lotsa sesame crunch
  • 1/2 an Orange

As predicted, typing this up calmed me down a little bit. Sorry for the crappy post. I tried to make it less BULUBULUBULUBULUBLAHHHH but I just need to hit publish at this point and take a chill pill.

and do boatloads of work.

Glad you got your shower! Love that you didn’t discriminate poor ugly pear! :) I’ve gotta do some work too — procrastinating by reading your blog! ;)

Cute post. :) Yay for good runs!!

I’m angry about the water being turned off for you!! That’s terrible. Sometimes all I need to feel better is a hot shower…I don’t what I would do if I couldn’t get one!

Ah sorry about the lack of running water! The first thing I always want to do after a run is shower! I’m glad the beat up pear and the awesome package cheered you up though!

Somehow you turned that really ugly pear into a beautiful picture.

I’m sorry you had a frustrating evening, but hopefully blogging about it helped some.

That is such an awesome package from Lauren. Enjoy your goodies.

Take care of yourself, Miss Allie.

xoxo.

Unexpectedly good runs are sooo awesome – I did one where, without really trying, I did a mile in 7mins03, I was like, blown away!!!
Oh my gosh, that banini…I seriously want one SO BAD..I need to find some AB….
Have a good evening!
(oh, and I had oatmeal for dinner last night :P albeit savoury and cheesy – but I satisfied your craving for you haha :P )

Banini-what a fabulous idea!
I also love it when a run is much more fabulous than expected. Plus I love jumping over things and keeping my run excited.
Hope that you got your shower in after all..

I agree, the ugliest fruit can sometimes be the most delicious! That’s when they are the most ripe and juicy. What a cute and fun package to receive! Good to see the snow is finally melting. :)

This is not a crappy post at all! Sorry to hear about the water situation. What an inconvenience.

I love pears but can’t eat them. They seem to do nasty things to my digestive track. I was told after allergy testing that I’m not allergic, but I beg to differ….and the doc might too if I visited him after eating one!! LOL! :)

Have a great day, Allie!

Oooh look at all those yummy treats! Let us know how those Dr. Weil bars are-I’ve never had them! So sorry to hear all the craziness. If it makes you feel better, every time I take a shower I also get a bath. Yeah the drain is crazy and my handyman husband has tried fixing it multiple times. BUT I can’t complain that I have indoor plumbing, hot water, and so many luxuries compared to the rest of the world. Right? Right. Perspective is my new favorite word :) Hope today is a much better day!!! P.S. I love that you always find so many positives in things-the pear, the run, etc!
