Last night I went to a Canon Rebel EOS In Depth class to get to know some of the settings on my new camera. The session was held at Penn Camera (a local camera shop) and put on by a Canon representative. The class was free….sort of. It cost $29 but they gave you a $29 gift card to the store in exchange. I still need (yes, need) many accessories so I am sure the $29 will be put to good use. Heck, I could probably spend $2,900….$29,000!!

I learned a lot about the basic functions of the camera and all that it can do! Actually, I don’t think the guy covered more than 5% of what the camera can do and I was already impressed (and confused!). I did learn enough so that I am not randomly pressing buttons and turning dials though. I feel like a big part of learning the ropes comes from experience. So today I clicked and clicked away!!
Now I know why I waited until after graduation to get the camera. I wouldn’t have gotten ANY work done had I gotten it a few months ago
.

Baked some muffins. Ate 2 1/2 of ‘em plus almond butter (they’re small!). Clickety clicks of those (and the recipe) to come! Hint: one of the ingredients is in this post. Can you guess which one?
Ellipticalled for 30 min.
Walked to the library to return/borrow some books.

Hahaha clickety click click. You’re awesome. Like I said last night while you were probably at the class-I want to go to one! Is one of the ingredients raspberries?! Mmm or dark chocolate AND raspberry muffins? Ooohh…
Ahhh, so glad you’re having fun with your new camera!!! Although I have to say– after your four years of college, you deserve a Guiness in that glass!!!
Wow–those pictures of the green monster are so interesting! And you’re right, it’ll take some time, but you’ll learn along the way! I’m guessing you made muffins with quinoa!
So glad you are having fun with the camera! I think you’re right about waiting until after graduation. I wouldn’t have been able to focus with such a fun toy either.
Oooh, awesome! I love experimenting with cameras, I’d never get any work done either! Your pictures are definitely looking a lot clearer… Keep experimenting!

You can’t go wrong with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate. Looks like you photo practice is coming along well.
you’re the absolute CUTEST! no seriously. you are. i’ve been not-so-secretly reading your blog for about a month and felt that it was about time to show my love! you’re a fabulous writer/picture taker extraordinaire (especially now with your new fancy schmancy camera!) and i really enjoy reading all about your daily adventures. i *just* started reading your archives and i’m obsessed. i seriously think that we would be best friends in real life if you lived in florida! anddd, i happen to be a grocery shopping/greek yogurt/pumpkin/green monster/chocolate lover myself so i pretty much think it’s fate. my next mission is to make a batch of alliebars. can’t wait to keep reading! keep up the good workkk
Berries and chocolate- always a good idea! That dressing sounds delish too
Ow! Congrats on the new camera! I got a starter SLR, but still don’t know how to use it! I should probably take a class too…
I know raspberries could go in a muffin…but I have a gut feeling you used quinoa?
How lucky they had a class just after you got the new camera!
When I get my new one, I just KNOW I won’t have a clue how to use it – I’ll be randomly pressing buttons lol :s

I’m going to guess that you used quinoa in the muffins? Chocolate is too obvious

girlllllllllllllll you are making me want to spend all of my hard earned $$ on a DSLR. Your baby is so pretty!!!
I’m eating tuna salad as at the same time as I’m writing this so I’ not too jealous of your awesome salad but I’m definitely having dark chocolate for dessert!
man, i bought a souped up canon powershot (the SX100 IS) 2 years ago, which i love because it’s easy to tote around, but would give my left arm for a DSLR. let me know – it’s pretty strong from my latest foray into weight training
I am going to guess that you used Quinoa in your muffins! awesome, awesome camera. i am so jealous. I want one.
mmm love that salad!! ahi tuna is the best always in the summer is when I crave it too!!!

So glad you’re enjoying your new camera! I might just have to play with it for a while when I see you next. (HLS?)
I tried making seared tuna once and wasn’t happy with the results but your photo makes me want to try it again!
