I took over 150 photos yesterday. Too bright, too dark, too bright, too dark…ahh! It’s driving this quasi-perfectionist (me) crazy! I say ‘quasi’ because there are parts of my life in which I am very UNperfectionistic. For example, when it comes to things like the cleanliness of my room
. I’m a part-time perfectionist!
I spent a long time behind the camera lens yesterday taking photo after photo after photo. There were a lot of ughhhhs muttered. I had to constantly remind myself that it will take time to learn the functions of the camera. A lot of practice. Trial and error. Uh huh, uh huh!
Galaxy Granola sent me samples of 2 new flavors set to release in June: Maple Pecan Quinoa (just for me, right?) and Hint of Honey. I had 1/2 a pouch of the MPQ before my ‘run’ yesterday.

I ran 1.5 miles before turning around and walking home. I have yet to run a relatively long distance at home! I think it’s a function of not being stressed out and missing the WaDuke Trail!
Afterwards, I enjoyed a Green Smoothie. I forgot to turn off the white balance setting so the photos came out blue-ish. Oopsies.
In the mix:
- 1/2 scoop Alive! Shake
- 1 scoop Green Superfood
- 1/2 cup 1% milk
- 1/2 banana
- A few spinach leaves
- Water ‘n’ Ice

Then I walked to the bank and Trader Joe’s for a mini-stock up.

Despite being a hungry hippo, I managed to make some 3 Ingredient Oat Flour Crepes. I haven’t made these since I invented the recipe…I’m not sure why! These are super quick and easy.
The cooking took little time. The photographing….um not so much!

I added cinnamon, vanilla extract and stevia to the 3-ingredient-batter.

I filled ‘em up with yogurt (whole milk+TJ’s Euro), raspberries, cottage cheese and chocolate shavings.

My Momma came home from work early so the three of us went out to play some tennis.

Yes. I brought my camera. I figured I could take some photos if I got bored/tired. I did, as you can see.

I whipped up a super quick salad for dinner.
- Spring Mix + Romaine
- Avocado
- Goat Cheese
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Cukes
- Grilled TJ’s 3-Grain Tempeh
- Sesame Ginger Dressing

My first and only purchase of tempeh was this TJ’s brand. I wasn’t impressed at the time because it had a funky flavor. However, ever since ordering tempeh from Sunflower Vegetarian Restaurant I’ve actually been craving the funky flavor.
I’ve acquired the tempeh taste!

Dessert:

Homemade Berry Sorbet
- 2/3 cup frozen mixed berries
- 3 TBSP yogurt
- Splash of water and some crushed ice
Whirled in the Magic Bullet

I also had a slice of millet bread with 2 TBSP sunflower seed butter AND a pouch of Galaxy Granola.
LOVE-LAY!

I haven’t gone for a long run in a while either. Hoping to make that happen this weekend. Being NOT-stressed is a good thing – remember that ; )
I’m definitely a part-time perfectionist, too, if not a most-time perfectionist! The only things I’m not perfectionist with is cleaning. Other things like school, eating, exercise… I have to do it to the best of my ability.
I’m amazed at the quality of your photos!! Keep experimenting – you’re doing great!

I am a TOTAL part time perfectionist too! My room is just a disaster zone…but then it’s taken me time to perfect it so it’s JUST so
Your crepes look beautiful!
oh that granola looks great – have fun with the new camera!
your eats are always so colorful and fun!
ha! i ate half a jar of nut butter late last night (right after brushing teeth, no less)…woke up and ate another 3-4 TBsps of it with breakfast….such is life
I’m a part-time perfectionist too! My room is usually a disaster area and a half, but I’m a nitpicky weirdo when it comes to essays and schoolwork and things of that nature. Right now, I’m writing my personal statement for medical school apps, and it’s taking me FOREVER b/c I keep overanalyzing every word. Yet at the same time, I can’t keep my apartment clean for the life of me. Weird how that happens.
Also, those crepes look beautiful and delicious.
Wow – those crepes look so gourmet!
Those crepes look absolutely amazing. You really seem to be getting the hang of your camera, those pictures are gorgeous!! Hope you have a great Friday!!

Don’t worry you’ll get the new camera sorted out in no time! Your oat crepes look delicious. I definitely need to make these soon!
I am so not a perfectionist. Maybe just a few things, but as long as things are ‘alright’, I’m ok with it.
I do like the perfection in all of the photos you take and your food presentation. You have a very visually pleasing blog!
I’m a bit of a perfectionist also- in a weird way I get scared to try things because I don’t think I will be perfect at them. I’m trying HARD to get over this!
Love your Crepes–looks delicious!!

I’m such a type A person and a huge perfectionist in a lot of areas.. just not when it comes to cleaning my room either. Other than that, if things are perfect, it drives me INSANE.
