I’ve just been mozying around the last couple of days. Nothing really seems to phase me. My Ecto broke just now and I had to fix it. Meh. Remember when it broke a couple months ago and I flipped out? My uptightness level has decreased significantly since leaving school. It’s quite remarkable.
Elliptical for 30 min. (yesterday). Meh. I’ll take it. Elliptical for 45 min. (today). Meh. Should I do some crunches/sit-ups? Nah.
Shall I mozy around? Yah!

Yesterday, I went with my parents to check out a potential new house. We’re moving. We just need to find a house to move into! We sort of love this one house…

It’s an ex-model home so it has a ton of upgrades, painted walls, and intricate details.

Not to mention a perty perty kitch. We designated the counter on the right the ‘AllieBar Center.’ Yep yep.

All I documented from yesterday in terms of food was dinner. It was scrumpsh though so it makes up for my mozyness….aka laziness.

Black Eye Pea Salad
- Black Eyed Peas
- Tomatoes
- Celery
- Fresh Corn
- Cilantro
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- EVOO
- S+P

Tilapia with tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, and tomato sauce.

I had both on a bed of spring mix. This is just to show you. I had about 2x the amount of tilapia shown and 3x the amount of Black Eye Pea Salad.

This morning I made a lovely Wheatgrass Smoothie:
- 1 scoop Wheatgrass
- 1 scoop Green Superfood
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk

Enjoyed with an unpictured AllieBar and a couple spoonfuls of Sunflower Seed Butter.

While packing up AllieBar shipments (I made 5 batches last night!!!), I snacked on:

I hit up the gym while watching Julia Roberts on Oprah. I can’t wait to see Eat Pray Love in theaters! I read the book (actually never got to the Love part, just Eat and Pray) while traveling in Italy ironically.

Another book I’ve been reading is The Last Song.

I actually don’t enjoy Nicholas Sparks’ books as much as I do the movies. His writing is sorta plain Jane to me. She went here and then she went there and la la la. I have enjoyed this book so far though. I think it’s because I keep picturing Miley and her boy in my head when I’m reading. Eh it’s okay, I know I’m lame
.

I read while listening to this fountain in the background. There are usually a hundred kids laughing and screaming while running through the fountain. The water shoots up at random times. I guess it was early though because there was only one little boy….see him in there?

Right over there…

Dinner:

Cooked tomatoes + celery and leftover Black Eye Pea Salad:

Grilled tempeh cubes

Avocado and goat cheese

With my book and water in my Starbucks cup.

Wow, aren’t I just the coolest person you’ve ever known?
***
Dessert:

I ate about 12 crisps. I also went back for more FiberFul Ends and Pieces and an AllieBar.

Ze kiddies came out to play!!

Alrighty, I’m off to engage in some quality mozying. I hope your week is off to a great start!

Glad you are relaxed
I think mozying around is much needed sometimes. Enjoy!
Moseying is a necessity, especially just out of school
Glad you’re enjoying it. And what a GORGEOUS house! I would kill for a kitchen that beautiful. I can only imagine the heaven you would be in (will be in??!).
It’s summer – mozying is 100% acceptable.
That house is quite spectacular. Is your fam staying in the same area? May I ask why you’re moving from the “flat” to a huge house?
Have you moved a lot in your life? : )
we used to get the ends and pieces ALL THE TIME! BUT WE CAN’T FIND THEM AT TJ’S ANYMORE!
They are such an addicting snack!
Is your TJ’s really stocked up/really snazzy unlike ours? Maybe I can ask if they would order them…because there ARE paying customers!
Relaxing is totally needed and you’ve definitely deserved it! Sometimes our bodies just need a rest. That being said, I can tell you’re pretty busy in other areas. You’re really getting down to business on those AllieBars! May I ask where you are sending them to? I think it’s so great that you want to start your own business. It seems like you really have a winner with your bars
. I wish you all the best with your venture. How lovely would it be to see your bars on the shelves of my Whole Foods one day?! I could say I’ve known about them before they became popular, haha
.
Have a lovely day!
xox
P.S. The potential house looks super pretty
. I love winding staircases (and of course the kitchen is a beauty!) It’s great that your family already designated that you can have your own AllieBar station. My family has been kind enough to give me my own pantry (formally the wine cupboard, haha) and refrigerator & freezer. How nice!
that sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day
Eat, Pray, Love’s one of my favourite books, wish I caught the Oprah segment! I wonder if it’s on the website? lol
oh my gosh i want that kitchen! =D
i really enjoyed reading “eat, pray, love.” i actually got to see her in person when she came to our college for a talk! Elizabeth Gilbert really inspires me
Ooh, the house looks really cool! Especially the stairs.
It’s summer. Summer = lazy! XD You need to relax. You deserve it, after working so hard for 20+ years!
Wei-Wei

Mondays are meant for relaxing! Don’t sweat it.
Your photographs look amazing, that new camera was so worth it.
What a beautiful home! Keep us updated on the moving situation!
i love a good mozy! those crisps from TJs are so addicting! yum.
Haha, when my exams are over I’m always so much less stressed too! The better half of my personality comes out
LOVE that house!! That actually looks like my dream house, no jokes. Please buy it!
Beautiful house!
That tilapia + black eyed pea salad looks fabulous.
I like your blog a lot!!
Jenn
I think moseying is a great way to spend a weekend! It still seems like you were productive! I love black eyed peas so your salad looks great!

PRETTY new house! love the high staircase and chandeliers! so beautiful!!
I have been craving beans lately! i think i always do when it comes summertime! something about a cool bean salad always hits the spot!
I just finished “dear john’ now I have to see the movie!!!
Mozying around is just what you need after finishing school! Your possible new house looks lovely too. You so need to patent your AllieBars!
That house looks so pretty!! I loooove a good kitchen, so two thumbs up there. Are you staying in the same area where you already live? Gotta make sure you’re still close.
That black-eyed pea salad looks so refreshing and prefect for summer. Glad to see you are enjoying yourself! That kitchen looks amazing too!
Love that you sound so relaxed–it’s a great feeling so enjoy it while you can!
I almost picked up Eat Pray Love this weekend…I really want to read it! Maybe I’ll grab it for the plane ride tomorrow!
I’m supurbly jealous of your mozying. Nicholas Sparks + refreshing summer salad–you can’t go wrong!
That house is gorgeous! And what a perfect kitchen for baking.
I totally agree about Nicholas Sparks’ books – I much prefer the film versions. The Notebook is one of my all time favourites!
I’m not a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks either but I really loved that book!! Usually his writing doesn’t grab me in but that one did for some reason. I’ve been trying to read Dear John but I can’t get into it!
OMG.. that house is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
I’m glad you are having time to relax, you deserve it girl!!!
Love ya!
Love the looks of that new house! Wouldn’t it be such a treat to cook in that kitchen???
Eat, Pray, Love was a great book! I hope the movie stays true to it.
Spapea crisps? I’ve never seen those but I seriously want to try some, awesome idea!
I’ve only read the book Last Song, I thought it was so sweet
i love that creamish colored wall paper or paint in that one room… that entry way of the model home looks beautiful.
love chocolate wafers girl and noth
*nothing beats bean salad.
Keep on relaxing
I think “mozying around” is a requirement for summer, so you are doing everything right!
And that house is beautiful! You should most definitely live there (Alliebar Center!?- sweeet!!)
& I read the Last Song right before the movie came out- I liked the book WAY more than the movie, I thought it was pretty good, but I’m not a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks either, his books are usually the exactly the same- can’t wait to hear what you think!
I just started rereading Eat Pray Love before the movie comes out. I’m excited too!
Girl I’m right with you on the lazy day. But enjoy it while it lasts! Soon enough you’ll be working and lazy days will be a thing of the past.
Oh, and that house is BEAUTIFUL from what you’ve shown! I love the entrance way!
The tj’s end’s and pieces is always out of stock around here. They are so good.
I always thought those things were chocolate covered potato chips!
I loved Eat Pray Love! I actually went to a talk by her and it was AMAZING! She just has this presence when she walks in the room, she lights it up. I also feel the same way about Nicholas Sparks. Everyone raves about his books, but they are SO predictable. I’m more of a Jodi Picoult fan myself!
I actually just started “Dear John” (but haven’t seen the movie yet) and am loving ittt! Mmm, Channing Tatum! HAHA
How amazing are those tj’s choc crisps?! My mom and I tried those over spring break and found them to be the perfect post-dinner treat! Tj’s never gets it wrong.
AHHHHH I’M BACK! I finally have internet and couldn’t have been more excited to click on your page and read this post. I feel EXACTLY the same way. I think it is amazing (and rare) to be so completely confident in yourself and the direction you want your life to go. SO many people (I’ve been in this boat too) feel like they HAVE to do or be something that they aren’t in order to be considered credible. Personally, happiness is the only thing that I need to define my success! YOU GO ALLIE BAR BAKER!!!
Those Snapea Crisps are *highly* addictive (and affordable — at Trader Joe’s, etc.), but I was so disappointed to read (though third-hand) that the company has said that it indeed does use genetically-modified (GMO) corn. So, I chose to put principle over taste and haven’t bought them since.
