19 ripe bananas. 3 people. No prob, Bob.
We’ve been consuming bananas like monkeys this past weekend! So maybe monkeys don’t eat banana oatmeal and banana soft serve but you get the idea. With the help of our freezer, Magic Bullet and some graham crackers, these bananas have been disappearing before our eyes.
I’ve got 2 simple and quick healthy dessert recipes to share with you. Are you ready, Freddie?

Banana S’mores

I was a Girl Scout for 13 years (that’s more than half my life!). Needless to say, I’ve enjoyed s’mores many many times in my life.
This time, however, I replaced the marshmallows with banana slices and the campfire with a toaster oven.
Watch and learn…

300*F for ~7 min.

Melty banana pillows in pools of warm chocolate, sandwiched between two crunchy cinnamon graham crackers.

Ready for s’more?
Banana Ice Cream Sandwiches

Banana soft serve in between two graham crackers. That’s it.
It doesn’t get any easier than that.

The creamy texture of the banana ‘ice cream’ paired with the sweet, crumbly graham crackers rivals any ice cream sandwich on the market.

Gimme s’more please!!!

Two words: HOLY YUUUM!
I can´t wait to try those recipes on my own
Mm mmmmm mmmmmmmm!!!!!
HOLY – okay. Is “Baker Josef’s” part of Trader Joe’s?
I’m basically salivating, oh my goooodness!
YUM!
OMG. LOVE your wickedly fun and creative ideas!!! The only thing I can really think of with bananas is banana oats and bread. So boring.
Omigosh, those look amazing! I love bananas, chocolate, and grahams. These are calling my name!
I thiiink I’m finally understanding what a s’mores is- we don’t have them in England I don’t think!? Whatever it is, your banana version sounds amaze
Yummy looking cookies!
Gotta try something like this
oh those both look like great dessert options!
The ONLY thing in the world that could possibly make those better are a dab of nut butter in between the gooey chocolate.
What a great idea to use bananas instead of marshmallows!!! I’ve been craving s’mores for awhile but haven’t been able to get myself to eat them because they are junk food. If there is a banana on it, at least it is kinda healthy
Thanks for the idea!
Now I REALLY wish I wasn’t allergic to bananas.
Those recipes look so incredibly tasty. Oh and I know you love Barney Butter so I thought I’d let you know that I’m having a Barney Butter giveaway on my blog. I hope you’ll enter.
I have four ripe bananas but no graham crackers. RATS. I’m obsessed with the little foil-wrapped packages though…so cute!!!
Those s’mores look SO good. Such a great idea! I’m a former girl scout too
I’d pick your s’mores in a heartbeat over any we made at camp!
girl, you’re a genius
I have a freezer full of bananas (about which my husband complains incessantly about), so I totally need to try those banana ice cream sandwiches! You are so inventive!!!
Thinking about licking my screen, and I blame it on you, Allie.
Wow, what great ideas- love the smores!!
Genius! I’ve been craving s’mores this summer, but I can’t bring myself to buy a big bag of sugary marshmallows (because I have a habit of eating them straight out of the bag before they even touch a graham cracker).
Those look great! And those little chocolate rounds look like they are perfect for s’mores
Allie! I have a ton of bananas — somehow I haven’t been eating 2 per day like usual and I have a bunch in the freezer too — reading “soft banana pillows” made me want to have that right now. Awesome ideas!
Bananas, graham crackers, chocoalte…all of my sweet comfort foods in one recipe! All I need to add to make this even better would be almond butter
Lauren and Emily–
You’re rubbing it in that I have NO NUT BUTTER left in this house
Those looks seriously good- esp the smores!! I rarely buy marshmellows because they tend to disappear quite quickly around me
Bananas are an awesome sub!!
I love the soft serve idea too- I made some mint-chocolate chip banana soft serve a few months ago and put them in chocolate grahams… THEN I put them back in the freezer for a few hours. The grahams got soft JUST LIKE an ice cream sandwich!!! It was amazing. Here’s my link! http://masterofherromaine.blogspot.com/2010/07/last-day-of-work-mint-chocolate-chip.html
I was a Girl Guide for years too!
I’ve always loved real s’mores cooked over a campfire, but both these desserts look just as good!
I only recently realized how delicious and easy-to-use bananas are to make tasty desserts. Both of them look simple but yummy!
Ohhh my goodness. Must make those!
Okay banana smores sound incredible. I love how bananas are so versatile (and FABULOUS) with so many different things.
Those s’mores should be ILLEGAL!
And girl… you HAVE to try coconut kefir!! It’s amazing!
These look SO GOOD. And I love those graham crackers from TJ!
Both the recipes look fantastic!
Ummm all I can think is wow. I am a HUGE s’more lover but those “ice cream sandwiches” look amazing! I’ve been dying to try banana soft serve but don’t have a food processor. Do you make yours in the magic bullet?
Those banana ice cream sanwiches look amazing!
Kelly–
Yes I do! We have a food processor but it’s 15+ years old and I have no idea where all the parts are! With the MB, I just add a splash of almond milk to get things going. By splash, I mean literally a tsp.
holy goly…. you got to send me those. i was about to grab your banana s’ mores but the screen block it! i never had those but it sureeeeeeeeeee taste heavenlyyy!
Wow the s’mores look amazing!! Now I just have to get those graham crackers
WOW that looks beyond heavenly!!!
What a great idea – wrapping them in tinfoil and roasting! haha love it:)
Give me some of those s’mores!
Ooh! How convenient–I happen to have some of those graham crax in my pantry right now…
Oh my STARS AND STRIPES – those s’mores look heavenly, Allie! Gonna have to try those!
Don’t you just love those TJ’s old fashioned graham crackers? They’re a favorite around here, too!
OMG. I have to make those banana s’mores stat. Adding ALL the ingredients to my TJ’s list…
