This is ONLY the beginning. Foodbuzz FoodBaby #1. Oh yes, there will be many (many) more to come this weekend. Tonight, we kicked off the festival with a Welcome Reception & Street Food Fare at the Fort Mason Center.
Think lots of chatting, photographing, chatting, munching on samples/mini entrees, and did I mention chatting?

BUT before I went inside, I made sure to get some photos of the amazing VIEW with the even more amazing sunset!
Is this not the most breathtaking view of all time? Just imagine what it was like to see it in person. I was in awe. The photos don’t do it justice.

I hope to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge sometime this weekend.

Okay, back to the food baby (I just had to share those photos with you).

Wine to start!

Appetizers. I attacked the swiss cheese like there was no tomorrow. It was some damn good swiss cheese, I’m tellin’ ya. I had some of everything and a lot of cheese throughout the night.

First, we sat down at random tables, introduced ourselves, and exchanged Foodie Gifts! My gift was AllieBars, another new nutty/seedy bar and a notepad that says Stressed is just desserts spelled backwards
. The lovely Janetha got my gift!

I received some San Francisco Dark Chocolate Grahams. Mmmm.

Then it was time to chat and make some food babies (that sounds weird)! I tried nearly everything (I think I may have missed only a station or two).

Bean tacos from Tacolicious

Short rib sushi style taco…? I loved it.

This Viking Gumbo from Mind Your Tongue took me from full to STUFFED.

But, of course, I forged on. There was dessert to be had, duh.

Ice cream from Straus Family Creamery. Caramel Toffee Crunch > Brown Sugar Banana
But both so so creamy, rich, and delectable.

The main attraction was the Mission Minis cupcakes that spelled out FOODBUZZ.

See?

I had 2 of the mini pumpkin cupcakes. The icing was out. of. control.

There was a camera crew there filming for The Food Network.

I found even more sugar when I spotted these [frickin' amazing] macarons and pumpkin toffee bark from Daydreamer Desserts. Oh my oh my oh my. I definitely ate my fair share and then wrapped some in a napkin to take with me—ha!
Hello, sugar rush!

I found my match.

Foodbaby #1 in my belly.
Time for bed to gear up (aka digest) for Foodbaby #2. Tomorrow is going to be jam packed!
