in Breakfast, Dinner, Groceries, Snacks

I don’t know how but I am not the least bit jetlagged. I slept like a rock last night from 9 PM- 9 AM (10 AM to 10 PM Hong Kong time). It helped that I was sleep deprived and had no problem falling asleep whatsoever. I sure missed my comfy bed!

Back to Yog + Oats

This morning, I scarfed down a Chobani Honey Nana Greek yogurt, a free sample which sat on my doorstep for a whole day. I was afraid it would be bad from sitting in the warm air but I gave it a try and I feel okay so far. I also made a bowl of oats with almond milk (half eaten in the photo)

Back to Costco

Later, my dad and I went to Costco to restock the fridge and pantry. I didn’t tell you this for safety reasons but my mom was (and still is) in Taiwan hanging out with her fam so our house and fridge were both empty for the past couple weeks.

Of course, we took part in some sampling…

Spinach artichoke dip, lobster ravioli, steamed veggies, kettle corn, Pop chips, banana nut muffin, trail mix AND MORE!

I also found this new snack and bought a bag to try it out.

Usually, nut clusters like these contain nuts that I can’t eat but not this one! I had this plate x2.

Back to the Gym…Tomorrow

This afternoon, I got dressed to go the gym…and then I fell asleep for 2 hours. Jet lag came knocking on my door! Better luck tomorrow.

For dinner, I made a rotisserie chicken and spring mix wrap with more of the filling on the side.

I also added some shrimp and avocado after the photo.

Back to my daily orange

I wish I could have guava every day but an orange’ll have to do.

Another BIG plate of Almond Rice Pops for dessert. I can’t stop eating these!

Off to fold laundry, finish unpacking and catch up on the Glee episodes I missed while traveling.

At wegmans, they have a machine that pops PopChips right in front of you! It is SO cool, I die every time I walk by it. Slash shopping after being away for a long time is my favorite thing!! We go to our summer house for a couple of weeks every summer, and when we come home we have to use two carts:)

Your costco has such great healthy samples!! I love going there, but usually mine is laden with gross hot dog bites and strange quesadillas. Those rice/nut clusters you got look amazing though!! I hope my costco gets those soon; I NEED to try them!

I bet it’s nice to be back home getting back into the routine, I’m like that too!

Love the new Chobani Champions yogurts… and speaking of CHO, have you seen me in the new CHO-MMERCIAL?! I know you’ve been out of the country so thought I’d share, but maybe you’ve caught it on tv already :)

Glad you’re back at home and not jet-lagged! Those rice pops look so yummy. There’s no costco around where I live unfortunately.

good call leaving the empty house on the DL! you never know what kind of freak a leaks are lurking out there!!!!

Gingie and I trekked to Costco yesterday (just for kicks) but didn’t realize that they only accepted american express. We had to put our hugh jass box of granola and Gingie’s protein powder back :( so embarrassing!

I was >this< close to buying those blueberry almond clusters at Costco yesterday, but decided $7 was just too much. I was sad to see they no longer had the Eggland's Best organic eggs OR the Brown rice chips. :(

23 Allie February 22, 2011 at 11:48 pm

Yeah, $7 was a stretch but I just had to try them just once. Now I can recreate them…maybe. Hopefully there will be a coupon for them soon because they were delicious.

We still have a huge bag of the brown rice chips in our pantry. Peter hoarded them when there was a coupon for them. Hopefully the eggs will make a comeback!

Yes, those Almomd Rice Chips with Bluberries are off the chain. I got them at the recent EXPO East Natural Food show in Baltimore. Now I have to go look for them around here. But until then, I think I will try making some.
