In with the Emo

in Breakfast

Yesterday marked my return to outdoor running. Well, today will mark my return to bread baking. Before leaving for Hong Kong (where scrumpsh bread is everywhere you look), I had quite a bread baking thing going on. Since returning, I haven’t even given it a thought!

Tres tragic.

Well, I’m craving a soft, stretchy, yeasty loaf of bread and there’s only one way to fix that…

What should I make?

In other news, this happened last night…

Grandma lizard hands!

I figured I have no new co-workers to scare off after all. So OUT with the neutral, IN with the emo!

Another shorty of a post because I’m sticking to my I-better-workout-in-the-AM-or-I’ll-be-a-lump-on-a-log-the-entire-day theory.

Energy in…

Energy out! Off to the gym I go.

I’m excited about your bread! I just baked your avocado banana bread last night and had it for breakfast this morning – OMG YUMMMMM!!! =D

Yeah, I’m a lump on a log if I don’t work out in the morning … not cool.

I haven’t baked any bread in quite some time myself, and I have a new “bake one new thing a week” self motivational thing going on right now, lol, so one of these weeks … bread will be a must!

Make cinnamon rolls! I love your nails like that, and you have hands just like mine-long and skinny little fingers! Oh and I saw you posted about your first outdoor run in awhile in your last post…well i totally agree with you on how absolutely AMAZING that feeling is!! My first outdoor run was 2 days ago too and I seriously could’ve gone on forever!

My school librarian just showed me a good bread book you might like (If you don’t already have it). It’s called “Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a day”. She’s been bringing us bread every day! YUM! And the idea is that you keep a bit of dough from every day to build up to a “sour dough”!

If you’re really itching to make something quick…I suggest a brioche bread!! YUM! BUTTER!

I’m too lazy to even paint my nails clear right now, and they are chipping/breaking as a result! Blah!!

Glad you returned to running outdoors. With DST coming, I’m sure we’ll get more of that soon!

I’m so glad I worked out this morning too. If I waited, I wouldn’t have any free time after school and before work!

Love that nail color. :) Vibrant! Bakeries in the area should really look into hiring you.

I used to paint my nails black and would touch it up everyday… now I stick to darker colors that are more ‘work appropriate’.

Question: Where do you get your Bread Machine Yeast? I have been looking all over without luck!

Thanks,
Mich

You should be able to find it at your local grocery store. I found mine at Wegman’s.

I loved your bread posts – I just took an exam for my food science class this morning all about doughs/breads and more, and your info was actually really useful for it!

I totally understand getting an a.m. workout in. It just makes the day sooo much better! I totally used to wear black nail polish too! I wonder where mine is, lol!

Do you have a good recipe for cinnamon raisin bread? Totally craving it!

I haven’t tried making that yet. I’m sure you can find a good one online though.
