On some days I get in an excellent variety of fruit, vegetables, and grains. On other days, not so much. Such as the days when I’m on-the-go allllll day long. I’m allergic to a bunch of raw fruits and vegetables, especially the ones that are convenient to pack i.e. apples, pears, peaches, celery, carrots…so weird, I know. This means I end up snacking on a ton of almonds when I’m out and about.
![]()
Okay, I just really really like almonds. They’re easy to stash in my purse and snack on during meetings. While almonds are high in some vitamins, like vitamin E, it’s low in others.
Lifehack has a great infographic on vitamins—what they do and which foods they are in (click on the link to see a larger version).
I also know my body doesn’t absorb all the vitamins I get from food, so I take vitamin supplements to fill in the gaps. Rather than take all my vitamins at once, I space them out throughout the day to maximize absorption.
Vitamelts are especially convenient because I can just pop ‘em in my mouth whenever wherever. No water needed! Big horse pills make my stomach hurt (even when I take them with food), so these little nuggets are perfect.
As a Nature Made Ambassador, I’ve been asked to provide a few SIMPLE tips to live a healthier lifestyle. Some things I include in my daily routine are:

My healthy tip is to: laugh more!!! people don’t take their own happiness enough….
whether you can catch a funny film, spend some time with others, or pop open a bottle of wine….laughing and having fun is the best way to good health
and eating veggies and stuff, but you know.
My healthy living tip is to take a filled water bottle everywhere.
Healthy tip: Prepare! If you’re prepared or have something written down you’ll most likely do it. I always write down my workout, what I’m going to cook and how much water I drink. Helps me stay on top!

My health tip is to make healthy foods accessible. I always buy variety and have plenty of healthy snacks on hand.
To live a healthier lifestyle my biggest tips are probably the most basic ones. Sleep, drink plenty of water, and eat your fruits and veggies!!
My job has two options: Park in the front by the door, or in the back and walk.
I usually park in the back, unless it’s like a blizzard….then I illegally park in the front. =)
Exercise regularly and get in a routine,
My healthy tip is to always be prepared with a healthy snack wherever you go. It is better to be over prepared and not eating your snack then to end up hungry without a healthy option is sight.
Yoga! Great for the mind + body.
My healthy tip is to walk everywhere instead of using the bus or elevator/escalator. Simple things like walking can really add up!

To live healthier, I carry my water bottle every where – and try to fill it up two times at work (plus one before work and one after work) to get me at least 108 oz of water.
My one tip is to drink water! I can’t believe how good drinking water has made me feel
I make an effort to spend more time on my feet. I sit most of the day at work, so when I’m home, I try to only be sitting when I’m eating breakfast or dinner.
My tip is to walk where ever you can, park far away
From stores and try to walk on lunch break to
Get your lunch , instead of jumping in the car
For just a few blocks
Drink more water and tea instead of coffee in the mornings
Meditate for about 10 minutes every morning before you start your day. It puts me in a mindful state for the entire day and helps me focus on any mantras (peace, patience, etc) I’ve repeated during the meditation.
healthy tip is to try to fill up half your plate with veggies!
One tip is that eat everything in moderation because nothing is off limits! And that
to exercise almost everyday! I, myself have started Insanity right now and it is Awesome!!!! =d
Drink lots of water. I oftentimes *think* I’m hungry but I’m actually just thirsty!
Water water and more water!
my tip to be healthier is to drink plenty of WATER! stay hydrated!!
Go VEGAN!I know it’s not for everyone, but it’s probably the best choice I ever made and I’ve never looked back! I thought it would be so hard but I have loved the challenge and the way I feel
My healthy tip is to take time to food prep. On Sundays I usually spend an hour or so prepping some food such as cutting up veggies, roasting potatoes and/or making brown rice. It really helps me to have healthy food at my finger tips and makes eating good food throughout the week easier.
My healthy tip is SLEEP!! I get at least 7.5-8 hours a night and it makes a world of difference the next day. I feel alert, I make better food choices, I’m happier, I still have energy for the gym after work. I <3 SLEEP
My healthy tip is, if you have a busy school or workweek, make lots of food on the weekend! It saves so much time and helps you make good choices during the week.
Another one of my favorites would be to drink a big glass of cold lemon every morning just after waking up.
Everything in moderation!
Getting enough sleep is key for me. It’s so much easier to eat well and exercise when I’m well rested!
Get enough sleep and drink water!
Drink lots of water!
My tip is to eat at home and prepare your own food more often. It’s important to know what we are actually eating!
Always have healthier foods on hand so when a craving hits you have a healthier option to choose!
Keep healthy snacks in your purse or at your desk for those moments when you have a crave or get really hungry to avoid getting something you do not need such as a sweet or very salty snack.

Most of the time I split restaurant meals in half to cut huge portions down and save some $ and prep time on my next meal.
I schedule my workout by writing them on my calender! When its written down it makes it seem like its set in stone so I have to do it!
I make sure to take at least 2 ten minute outdoor walks each day. It clears my mind and gives me a bit of energy to make it through the rest of the day.

My tip for a healthy lifestyle is to not sweat the small stuff.
Yum! Would love to incorporate more vitamins in my day!
relax! everything that happens is for a reason.
Healthy tip: FLOSS! I have flossed every day in 2013 and am ridiculously proud of myself. And my gums are healthier!
Drink at least 60oz of water a day! I really started to pay attention to my water consumption over the past year and have noticed a huge shift in how I feel. I even have my healthy-living-skeptical husband on board!
healthy tip(s) i’ve recently been doing and have worked for me!
WORK OUT IN THE MORNING (run, yoga…)
it will help jump-start your mood for the day and leave you feeling good about yourself which leads to better food choices throughout the day.
WEAR YOUR CLEAN WORKOUT CLOTHES TO BED
if you plan on working out in the morning, this will save you time and give you those extra minutes of sleep rather than thinking about what to wear and changing your clothes. plus, you’ll be more likely workout than procrastinate or blow-off the workout.
I always premeasure nuts and pack them with me when I go out… almonds, raw cashews, and hazelnuts.
My healthy living tip – drink hot lemon water in the morning when you get out of bed!
Your tips are great. I am trying to stand more when I am working on my computer too.
And I tweeted
@eatrunsail
Move every day! And drink lots of water.
My healthy tip is to pack a lunch the night before work – makes the next morning a lot less stressful!
Ha, your makeshift standing desk is great! I try and walk or do a 10-minute yoga or pilates routine on my lunch break. It’s small, but it helps!
Eat clean and move your body!
Pour a glass of water with each time you eat!
I tweeted!
pre-portion snacks by serving size/weight…otherwise they can be so deceiving!
I’ve been trying to not eat white flour, switching most everything to whole wheat, spelt, coconut, anything but white! Love it!
My healthy tip is turn off the devices and take some time to yourself away for others and just have some quiet time to think and breath.
Practice yoga every day!!

All foods can be part of a healthy diet in moderation!
My favorite healthy tip is to plan meals ahead of time! Makes a huge difference for me.

My healthy tip is to eat more intuitively! When I listen to my body it makes me feel so much better! Mentally and physically:)
My healthy tip is to find exercise that you enjoy. Before I discovered running, the elliptical was the bane of my existence…but when you love what you do, it is so much easier to be motivated and get a good workout!
My healthy tip? Hop out of bed in the morning and plank! It’s the easiest way to get in some super efficient, easy, quick strength training exercise right at the get-go. Recently, i’ve tried this out. My alarm goes off, I hop out of bed, I plank for maybe a minute. It gives me a boost, it makes me laugh, and to my shock, it has actually strengthened my core considerable. Do it!!!! =)
To make exercise supper convenient (and to fit it in to my schedule) I walked 3.5 miles from my job to the farthest train station I can possibly find. I live in NYC so walking long distances is normal for most of us. No cars required….one way in which I incorporate a healthy lifestyle in to my life
My healthy living tip would be to enjoy life in all its aspects: food, exercise, family, friends, DID I MENTION FOOD?
I am so excited to try the vitamelts, such a good idea! My number one health tip is to plan. I plan out my weeks worth of meals and buy the groceries and I always make sure I have a healthy lunch and snacks for the day. If I don’t plan my meals and workouts ahead of time I tend to slack off. I just take a few minutes every sunday and write out a rough outline for the week.
Healthy tip: drinking tea after a meal always helps me feel satisfied and stops me from eating more
My healthy tip would be to park my car far away to get in more steps!
i laugh…everyday. keeps the deamons at bay
Take a walk during your lunch beak at work to stretch and destress!
Get into the habit of exercising early in the morning before leaving for work. You’ll be motivated to lead a healthier day.

WHAT? I’m dying. I’ve been looking for the Vitamelts at the store and haven’t located them yet… I’d love to win this!
My tip for a healthy lifestyle is STRETCH in the 5 minutes after you wake up. Stay in your bed if you want, but make it worth it. It will wake you up and get you ready for the day!
move every day!
Healthy tip: smile more!

My healthy living tip is to have some physical activity every day – walk, run, yoga, or just getting out to play!
My tip to living a healthier lifestyle is to not overthink it so much! Listen to your body, treat it right with good healthy food and exercise and the payoff will be great!!!
Moderation and movement are key to a healthy lifestyle. I try to exercise well 5 days a week and have plenty of movement the other two days. (And with two kids that is always attainable!) And moderation in foods that are not the healthiest choices so you don’t feel deprived and still get yummy treats sometimes. : )
Eat whole foods and move more!
My tip? Don’t shop when you’re hungry B) I buy the most unhealthy food whenever I am super hungry, but when I go to the store after a meal I can think more clearly and buy the healthy food that my body needs and not just junk food that looks tasty at the time! (:
Tip: drink fruit juice every morning with breakfast of some kind.

I practice yoga several times per week!
Live a healthy lifestyle by working out at the gym once in awhile.
I drink lots of fluids all day, either water or unsweetened green tea.
Keep healthy snacks on hand, so you have healthy alternatives to junk (dried fruit, nuts, etc).
