Sometimes I really miss blogging every day. I miss having an outlet for all the random thoughts that swirl through my head, the photos I take (though I guess we have Instagram for that) and of course, talking about all things edible and delicious.
One blog trend I’ve noticed (and absolutely adore as a reader) are virtual coffee dates. I love reading tidbits and musings about what’s going on in someone’s life.
Maybe we can meet for virtual coffee dates once in awhile to catch up!
So if we were meeting for coffee, I’d tell you…
I’m almost halfway through yoga teacher training (it’s 6 months long). It totally deserves it’s own post (if not 10 posts!), but for now I can tell you that it has been an incredible experience. I intend on writing more about it here…hopefully sooner than later.
Lo the Bro turned 29 this past week and we all got together for a Peter’s Kitchen feast to celebrate, complete with jumbo tiger shrimp, salmon w/ portobella mushrooms, rack of lamb (not pictured because it was still roasting in the oven), asparagus and the most massive cheesecake ever!
I’ve been eating that dang cheesecake with breakfast, lunch and dinner all week. Can’t stop won’t stop.
Lauren, my blog-reader-turned-bestie-slash-can’t-imagine-my-daily-life-without-her-because-we-text-morning-noon-and night-like-actually-I’m-not-exaggerating friend, CRUSHED her first marathon and I’m so proud of her! The Baltimore Marathon, to be exact. I wanted to go cheer her on, but I had yoga teacher training that day.
Several months ago she was registered for the half and was contemplating running the full. I successfully convinced her to bite the bullet and commit. I loved talking to her about her training runs and wished every weekend that we could run together (she lives in PA so we couldn’t). She kept saying it would probably be her one and only marathon and now she’s already thinking of her next one. I knew it would happen. Congrats, Lauren!
This collage was from a double date with Kat Lobes and Doug at Benihana last month. I ordered the shrimp, scallops and squid hibachi with a side of mackerel and yellowtail sashimi (my two faves) and green tea ice cream. Of course, we had all the other stuff that comes with hibachi meals, too (zucchini, mushrooms, onions, fried rice, oh my!).
So what are your plans for Halloween?! Do you have a costume? I work Thursday evenings until 9:15pm, so I guess those are my plans. Womp womp.
Okay, YOUR turn. Update me on your life!
Until next time, friends…
