About Allie

Hello and welcome to Live Laugh Eat, a blog devoted to food, fitness, and everything in between. Here at LLE, I document my love for baking, cooking, food photography, and my quest to live a balanced and happy life. It is here where I unleash my quirkyness, share my creativity with food, and reflect on life.

I started focusing on living and eating healthy a couple of years ago after going through some tough times in college (see my story for more on that).
I recently graduated from Duke University with a degree in psychology and a certificate in Markets and Management. I am still in the midst of figuring out what I want to do with my life. I am determined to make it something that lights me up from the inside out!

How LLE Got It’s Start
It’s really quite simple. Over 2 1/2 years ago, I stumbled across a couple food blogs and was instantly captivated. At the time, I had a rocky relationship with food and exercise but I enjoyed reading about bloggers’ healthy eats and workouts. It was actually through reading food blogs that I started on my path to recovery. Not only did they remind me how to eat full and balanced meals, but more importantly, that doing so was okay. Eventually, I developed a love for delicious and nutritious food and reading food blogs became a hobby that provided me with creative ideas and fueled my [healthy] curiosity.
